"Sakhi Saheli means friend and companion — the only credentials a woman ever truly needs by her side."
About Us & Founder's Vision
Sau Maltitai Gogawale founded Sakhi Saheli Foundation with a single, uncompromising belief: talent is universal, but opportunity is not — and that gap is a debt society owes to every woman. What began as informal circles teaching tailoring and literacy in Wagholi has grown into a full-scale women welfare engine, engineered to reach households, self-help groups, and workplaces across Pune and beyond.

Each program is deliberately built to hand a woman the next tool she needs — carrying her from vulnerability to unshakable self-reliance.
Hands-on training in tailoring, handicrafts, and digital literacy so every graduate walks out job- and income-ready.
Bootcamps in budgeting, micro-credit, and business fundamentals that turn ambition into a self-owned enterprise.
Recurring, expert-led camps delivering reproductive health guidance, hygiene education, and preventive screening.
Free, confidential counseling that arms every woman with the legal literacy to defend her rights.
We build and mentor women-run SHGs into powerful micro-economies with savings discipline and collective bargaining power.
